Hi, Were
Jim and Eleanor.
We have been
married a long time and survived raising 3 children.
Our youngest
lives with one of our Rottweilers who has raised and protected her 2
children. Our son is shown above, with our very first
Rottweiler, Kampe.
Our oldest
daughter is the one who helped me get involved with showing
dogs. We got Kampe, in the early 1970s by trading a
friend a microwave for a puppy! We then bought her a play mate
a year later. A male named Bear. When our oldest,
Kristen, went of to college, she purchased her first Keeshond and
began her show career. Being the concerned mother, I started
traveling with her because I didn't want her traveling unchaperoned.
We started to
show the 2 Rottweilers we had and soon realized we needed to
up-grade. Kampe could not have puppies so I sold her to the nicest
man who was recently divorced and "wanted a bitch who would not
leave him". Unfortunately, Bear became sick about 3 weeks
after his friend had left and died soon of cancer. We spent the next
6 months trying to decide what breed of dog we wanted to get involved
with again.
That is when
we purchased Ch. Von Braders Juneau von Kinjack at 8 weeks old.
Later, I was at a MRC puppy match and saw Frank Brader with a
puppy called Ice. I think he won best puppy but I didnt really
know anything then so it didnt mean much to me. I though
he was a very pretty puppy and said to Frank if he ever wanted to
sell him, to let me know. A few months later Frank called and
said he was looking for a home for Ice, was I interested?
The rest is
what you see...
Many years of
a lot of fun and some wonderful dogs.
We love them all. |
